This is my 3rd blog, I've just started my 5th business, I'm expecting my 7th baby in June and I will be planting my 1st garden in April. How is it that on a fairly regular basis, I feel like I haven't accomplished, ANYTHING?! My mind and my hands don't work like most others, I have to have a million different things going on at once, even though I get incredibly stressed when they aren't getting done fast enough for my liking. There are many days that I dream and wish i had the ability to begin, focus on and complete one task at a time. <sigh> Oh well, life goes on with or without you, so here I go on another adventure!
The title of my blog, Roots, Shoots, Feathers and String is due to my emergence in to the gardening world, my acquiring a flock of chickens, and my latest business of making vintage, 1950s inspired aprons with a whimsical and colorful twist!
I'm excited about this new time in my life. I have recently put the brakes on several of my other businesses because I felt I was getting too busy to have time for the thing I love most, my family. I remember there being weeks where I don't even remember having time to snuggle or eat dinner together or just sit down and talk! It was a very hectic, busy and exciting time in my life but I just couldn't stand being away from my beautiful children and my amazing man.
So here I am, chronicling my journey in to this new and crazy thing called 'spare time' Granted I plan to fill all this 'spare time' with plenty of activity but this time it will be activities we can ALL join in on and hopefully, grow stronger and closer in the process.
